Neo srl was asked to provide the complete package of engineering services for an offshore A-frame for survey operation rated 12t SWL at 2.0m Hsig in compliance with the Rules for Offshore Lifting Appliances (API Spec 2C, RINA Rules Rules For Loading And Unloading Arrangements And For Other Lifting Appliances On Board Ships Part C “Cranes for offshore operations”, etc. )

The design of the A-frame took place from the feasibility of the installation, verification of cynemtics, prototyping a compact ship-specific solution; the offered packaged include full detail engineering documentation for Class Approval and fabrication and consist, among the others, in: 

  • design of cylinders,
  • design of under deck foundation,
  • selection of bearings,
  • general arrangement,
  • nesting,
  • verification and calculation report,
  • dealing with Classification to obtains approval
