Neo srl was asked to turn-key solution of the DWT increase of cargo vessels, from the Feasibility Study to the Engineering Documentation of the upgrade works.

The goal of the provided services was to guarantee to the vessel the maximum amount of freebord allowance against the necessary upgrade works.

 

More Info

The services consisted, among the others, in:

a) Calculation of the maximum free board allowed, with comments about the possibility to have correction beneficial to DWT increase;
b) Calculation of the Equipment Number, in order to ascertain the upgrade / renewal of the mooring / anchoring equipment,
c) Verification of the max VCG to be used against the new max draft,
d) Verification of the main section under the new loads due to different draft
e) Provision of an Addendum to the Stability Booklet
f) Arrangement of the new Load Line Marking
g) Structural drawings of the upgrade steelworks
